Partner, Austin Ventures
Mike Dodd, Partner, joined Austin Ventures in 2008 and focuses on early and expansion-stage software and web-enabled business and consumer services. Most recently, Mike was SVP of Corporate Development with Omniture, Inc., a publicly traded analytics and online business optimization software company that was acquired by Adobe (NASDAQ: ADBE) for $1.8B. During his tenure, which began prior to Omniture’s IPO, Mike led the identification, acquisition, and integration efforts around Omniture’s acquisition of two domestic and two international companies which totaled approximately $500 million in consideration. Prior to Omniture, Mike was Senior Vice President and General Manager at Ancestry.com (NASDAQ: ACOM), a consumer online content subscription business. He was also a Partner with Europatweb, a venture capital firm where he worked with companies such as Liquidity Services Inc (NASDAQ: LQDT) and Ancestry.com, and a technology investment banker with Robertson Stephens in San Francisco. Mike received an MBA from Harvard Business School and a B.S. in finance from Syracuse University.
A digital technology visionary and proven business builder, Steve is known for creating and managing products and companies for high growth and market success. He has secured funding for and matured technology startups; steered mergers and acquisitions; conceived, launched and directed a multi-billion-dollar internet advertising platform, and driven companies to success by forging rewarding partnerships, acquiring top talent and building winning teams. Prior to SmartDrive, Steve was CEO of Veoh, the Internet television company now part of Qlipso, and before that he served as Senior Vice President of Yahoo!’s advertising products, platforms, and services. Steve holds a degree in architecture from the University of California, Berkeley.
Todd T. Pietri
Co-Founder, Milestone Venture Partners
Mr. Pietri co-founded Milestone Venture Partners in 1999. Milestone specializes in early stage, software and information services investments and has made 15 investments in the digital health sector. Mr. Pietri is responsible for eight of Milestone’s digital health investments inclusive of MapMyFitness: GenomeQuest, Octagon Research Solutions (successfully sold to Accenture in 2012), Halfpenny Technologies, SmartAnalyst, Vitals.com, MedPage Today (successfully sold to Everyday Health in 2010) and the New York Digital Health Accelerator. Prior to co-founding Milestone in 1999, Mr. Pietri held operating roles in two technology companies (CompuSystems, Innovative Technology), was a technology investment banker (Legacy Securities) and was an associate at a private equity firm (Callier Interests). Chief Executive Officer, MapMyFitness
Robin is the Chief Executive Officer and also one of the co-founders of MapMyFitness. Prior to MapMyFitness Robin worked in the investment management industry where he spent more than 14 years as a senior manager at a number of industry leading firms including Lipper, American Century Investments, and most recently, Wellington Management in Boston. During his time there he actively contributed to the development of many of the investment technology platforms and models that are widely employed by investment management professionals today. Robin has participated in endurance sports all his life and he still competes in USCF sanctioned masters bicycle races. Notably, Robin rode as professional cyclist for the Swiss Helvetica-Lugano team for four years. Robin attained his B.S. in Finance from the Metropolitan State College of Denver, and then went on to earn an M.S. in Finance from the University of Colorado Denver.
