We’re all familiar with the “runner’s high” and know that exercise releases those feel-good endorphins. It’s a physiological truth that exercise improves mood, memory, and overall happiness, but what if there was a way to pass that good feeling on to others?
Starting at the beginning of April, we partnered with Wheaties™ and Feeding America® for our latest challenge, Outnumber Hunger. Feeding America is the nation’s leading domestic hunger relief charity. Their mission is to feed America’s hungry through a nationwide network of member food banks and engage our country in the fight to end hunger.
The is the first time we’ve hosted a way for our users’ hard work to count towards helping other, and they jumped at the chance. In fact, 34,064 people all over the world recorded workouts within the challenge that lasted at least 15 minutes, contributing some good old fashioned sweat to a good cause.
Because of our incredibly high participation, we reached our end goal of $11,500 in just nine days! On behalf of us and our partners, thank you for entering the Outnumber Hunger challenge and making this spring a lot brighter for local food banks.
